The introduction basically sums everything up. Michael Westen, a spy, is burned meaning that he is permanently out of the spy business with frozen bank accounts and no credit. Accepting a burn notice is not an option for Michael which makes finding out who gave him the burn notice and even getting back in much more difficult. Michael unwillingly lands in Miami rejoining with family and friends. Freelance work seems to come his way in which he relies on Fiona and Sam Axe to solve the problem and save the day. Though understanding his burn notice may not be solved the same way, Michael is highly determined to finding out everything on his burn notice.
